THERE IS A LOT OF INFORMATION THIS WEEK SO PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE MESSAGE.

1) FRIDAY AND SATURDAY CLASSES ARE CANCELLED DUE TO RECITAL THIS WEEKEND!
2) Recital information attached for reference- it is also on the website;
  A) Act I Dancers arrive no later than 4:15 and be ready to start at 4:30- sit in the theater for instructions. If your dancer is only in act 1, be ready to receive them by 5:30.
 B) ACT II- ALL BALLET STUDENTS- Arrive and be ready to go by 5:30- Ready means in the theater waiting - not coming in to the parking lot.  Dancers in the ballet should be finished around 7:30. Parents be ready to receive them at 7:30- and be patient.  It should be close to this time.
Dancers who pre ordered subway - it will be at the theater for you.  Please allow enough time to eat and be ready to go.
3) MORE:
****  ATTENTION TEEN DANCERS- come perform at the Angels baseball infield on April 22nd.  Limited rehearsals and a lot of fun.  Forms attached.
**** Lion King production forms and information also attached to this message.  Dancers need to be in a level one or above class to participate and an additional fee with required rehearsals is necessary. Dancers wishing  to perform in the ensemble please turn in a form but you do not need to audition.  Dancers need to attend the audition to be considered for supporting leads and leading parts.

ATTENTION TAP DANCERS: MR. AARON, one of our former tap dance instructors is visiting from Hawaii and will be teaching tap master classes to all tap classes on Thursday, February 9th.
If you are currently enrolled in the class then you will have him as your guest teacher.  If you wish to take his class and are not currently enrolled you can join for free!  YES FREE!

6:30-7:30- will be advanced Rythm Tap with permission.

Hello Dancers and Families:
Here is the news of this busy week:
THIS SATURDAY is in studio dress rehearsal for the Dream Team. the Disney Parade Team, all ACT I SOLOISTS AND ALL BALLET SOLOISTS FROM THE AUDITION:
ACT I arrive by 10:15 and be ready to go at 10:30.  You will be done by 11:30
Ballet SOLOISTS arrive and be ready to go by 12:00.  BRING EVERYTHING!  COSTUMES/PROPS/SHOES you do not need make-up or hair.  You will be done by 3:15.

RECITAL INFORMATION INCLUDING THEATER DRESS REHEARSAL AND CALL TIMES CAN BE FOUND IN THE ATTACHMENT. Dancers have also been given a hard copy during their class time and.  Additional information is in the studio and on our website under the menu tab for recital.

FRIDAY IS THE LAST DAY TO SIGN UP and PRE-ORDER RECITAL FLOWERS.   $6.00. You can pay by Venmo or cash/check in the studio when you come in next.
If you wish to purchase a recital link which has replaced the dvd's, use this link.  Additionally you can sign up in the studio.  PARENTS: DO NOT VIDEO YOUR CHILD DURING THE SHOW!  YOU MISS THE SHOW!  Watch Them perform!  When you video you miss so much!  The recital links are good and your child will be seen. 
SUBWAY:  Skip the hassle of getting food for dress rehearsal and sign your dancer up for a ham and cheese or turkey and cheese subway sandwhich. Includes chips/dessert and drink $9.00 .  The last day to order is Saturday. Food will be delivered to the theater in time for dress rehearsal.

Auditions for the studio June recital production of THE LION KING, will take place on Saturday February 11 from 9-11:00. For leads and supporting roles.  Dancers who wish to perform in the ensemble do not have to audition.  Sign up for the production in the studio or you can also do it through the portal.  Dancers need to be in a level I class or higher.  Additional rehearsals on Saturdays are required.  $100. includes all rehearsals choreography fees and recital shirt.  The production will perform in both our Friday and Saturday recitals. 
*** ANGELS TEAM IS FORMING: Dancers in middle school and up or with permission are allowed to sign up now for the Angels performance team on Friday, April 21st.  $50.00 includes rehearsals and ticket.  Rehearsals will begin March.
On last thing:
As I said last week, I don't like to mix business with pleasure, but one of our former dance students and Dance Works family is going through a medical hardship right now and could use some help. I was told the Go Fund Me link I sent last week was incorrect so I am including it again.  Kayla was in a car accident with her sister on January 6th and is currently paralyzed.  She is in a medical treatment center in Salt Lake City undergoing therapy.  You can read about her story on the Go Fund Me link.  I have sent a donation on behalf of the studio and am accepting cards, gift cards and gifts to send to her and her family.  Subway, McDonalds, Starbucks, are in her area if you would like to donate you can drop off in the office as I will send them to her.  I know she loves Taylor Swift and she has always been a big Musical Theater fan.    Thank you in advance!

ON A SIDE NOTE: I don't like to mix business and pleasure but one of our former dance families has suffered an unimaginable event.  Our family the Schmidt's who were one of my first students, have been dealing with the aftermath of a terrible car accident where they live in Idaho.  Here is a link to see what happened.

Many of you know this family as they have been active at Saddleback Church and El Toro High School where Emily went to school.  Kayla was always involved in community theater.
I have a donation box in the studio for anyone who would like to add cards,gift cards, anything of support to this family. Welcome back!  I look forward to catching up with everyone.  WE ARE OPEN FOR ALL CLASSES TODAY!
This year is already shaping up to be a busy one with our winter recital right around the corner.  I ask that everyone please read this message carefully and save the dates as our June Recital will also be getting underway in the next few weeks!  Yes - I did just say that!  I know this is a lot of information but I save it for just one weekly email.

10-11:00 - Dream Team
11-12:00 These Ballet Soloists Only - as were previously notified: This includes all Conservatory dancers, Grimsby, Vicar, Chef, Triton who I know can't attend. Eric,  and I think that is it.
12-3:00 All Ballet Soloists from the audition.

A NOTE FROM MISS JORDYN ABOUT THE RECITAL VIDEOS. Video links are $25.  You can sign up at the studio.  In anticipation please see the attached QR codes and other information that will help you receive the links with ease. 
A lot is happening in the coming days and weeks so keep reading these emails and checking the studio boards. 
ALSO: FORMING NOW- ANGELS BASEBALL PERFORMANCE TEAM!  Perform on the infield at ANGELS STADIUM, FRIDAY, APRIL 21 when the Angels host Kansas City.
THERE IS AN AGE RESTRICTION FROM THE ANGELS For Dancers in Middle School and Up or with permission, so see me if you are interested, or you performed last year. The fee is $50 per dancer and it will include their ticket.  Parents, family and friends tickets are $20.00.  Rehearsals will be starting around February and held on Saturday mornings. If you are interested let me know and I will put you on the interest list.
Looking ahead!  Our 34th summer performance will take place on June 16 and 17th so mark the dates now.  Costumes will be ordered in February as the supply chain is still a huge issue.  Dancers start attending your classes now! and get ready of our production number - the Lion King.  Information and auditions for lead characters will be announced soon! Addittional fees and rehearsals will be required.
