Here is the news of the week..... and for all our teams, this is the only email of the week. * REHEARSAL THIS WEEKEND: LION KING - 9-12:00- EVERYONE: (my apologies - I think i said 11:00 before.) I will be giving our a more detailed schedule this weekend. 12:30-2:00- Mufasa and Older Simba COMING UP: Joffrey Ballet School Summer Intensive Auditions at Dance Works - use the QR Code attached to sign up. Ask me if you need help or information. * Dream Team: - Pick up rehearsal on Monday, March 27, 7:30-7:45 ----- yes - 15 minutes ----- before our Clippers performance on March 5th. I will have more details to you about this event on the 27th. ** Competition Team Dancers - no word yet on our Star Systems event - stay tuned..... ***MORE: ANGELS TEAM --- I am looking for 2 more dancers to join our performance on April 21 at the Angels Stadium - see our rehearsals below - only 4! This is great for our Hip Hop Dancers - middle school and up or with approval. ANGELS FIRST REHEARSAL IS Saturday, March 18th 9-12:00 Monday, March 27 - 7:30-8:30 Saturday, April 15 - 9-12:00 Monday, April 10th - 7:30-8:30. -------THIS WEEKEND BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR OUR JUNE RECITAL COMMITMENT FORMS FOR OUR JUNE 16 and 17th Recital.----------- I think that is all for this week, thank you for reading. Here is the news of the week: REMINDER: WE ARE CLOSED THIS FRIDAY -MONDAY FOR THE PRESIDENTS WEEKEND. CLASSES WILL BE HELD ON TUESDAY. * Congratulations to all of our dancers who participated in our Lion King Production auditions. Forms are due today at 7:00 and you need to attend the first rehearsal on February 25 from 9;11:00. * More: The winter recital links have been sent out, my apologies if yours did not arrive, you know I am not technical. Please notify the studio if you need help, didn't get the link or still want one; I thank you in advance. * and More: Coming up very soon will be the recital commitment forms for our 3th annual summer show. The show will take place on June 16 and 17th so mark your calendars now.....and while you are marking your calendars,,,save the dates of January 26 and 27, 2024 for our next winter show! * and still More: Dancers participating on our Angels Baseball team, stay tuned as rehearsals will begin very soon, I am waiting for the choreography. Congratulations go out to our Dream Team for their amazing performance this weekend at the LA Coliseumto kick off the Nascar Clash. It really was a fun event, and dancers; you were great! Also- Congratulations to Mary, one of our Ballet Conservatory students, for her performance in the Youth America Grand Prix ballet competition held this past weekend at the Barclay Theater. We are so proud of her! See pictures of both events on our social media accounts and don't forget dancers to send me your photos. MORE: THIS IS THE WEEKEND MANY OF YOU HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR! The studio production is The Lion King this year and auditions for leading and supporting lead parts take place this Saturday 9-11:00. Dancers must be enrolled in a level I class or higher to participate. Dancers who want to be in the ensemble do not need to attend the audition but must fill out a participation form attached to this message. After this Saturday, the event will close with no more registrations permitted. Dancers must be able to perform in both recitals on Friday night and Saturday matinee of June 16 and 17th. There is an additional fee to participate and weekly rehearsals on Saturdays from 9:00-2:00. Dancers who miss rehearsals are eligible to participate but their parts may be reduced. and MORE: THIS IS THE LAST CALL FOR TO SIGN UP FOR THE ANGELS BASEBALL TEAM: Perform at the April 21 game! DUE TO EVENT REQUIREMENTS, DANCERS MUST BE IN MIDDLE SCHOOL OR OLDER TO PERFORM. Forms attached and also in the studio. Sign up by Saturday as rehearsals are very limited and will begin in March. The choreography comes from the organization for us to teach. A small rehearsal fee is required and includes the dancers ticket. and yet there is more: Recital links are due any day! If you are still interested and have not signed up for the link below for access. Finally - Dance The Magic Dancers: I have not forgotten you. I have reached out on several occasions to Disney about our videos and pictures and have been told they will be arriving soon. I will let you know when they are in. Happy Wednesday Dancers and Families; Another busy week so here goes: *I can't believe it's February - tuition is due by the 10th and thank you. The Venmo link is attached. Dream Team - if you did not receive a previous email from me let me know - we have rehearsal tonight 6:15-7:00 . * There are added classes this month: Monday at 4:45 - Advanced Rythm Tap - with Miss Marlise begins on the 13th - Dancers currently in tap 3 are eligible but must attend tap 3 both classes. Miss Tiffany will now be teaching Hip Hop II starting in this date. If interested please let the studio know. Tuesday's at 6:30 - Choreograpy class by invite only with Miss Jordyn. Dancers will be notified if approved MORE: Our June recital studio production number is the Lion King. Dancers wishing to audition for a possible lead/supporting lead must audition on Saturday, February 11 from 9-:00. Dancers who want to perform in the ensemble need not audition, but must fill out a form and return to the studio by the 11th. Additional fees and Saturday rehearsals are required. If dancers are not available on Saturdays from 9-3:00 we kindly ask that you do not participate this year. The production is open to all dancers in a level one class or higher. Dancers must be able to perform in both of our recital shows taking place on Friday and Saturday, June 16 and 17th.
