Dance Works is preparing for a busy December so please read this message carefully and as always let me know what I have missed and if you need anything. * Reminder December tuition is due. Thank you in advance. * Dancers performing this Saturday in the in-studio Nutcracker show, if you did not received a separate email from me please let me know. * Dance the Magic - nothing yet to report, keep checking emails, I expect an update at any time and make sure to fill out the food survey, REHEARSALS THIS WEEK: TONIGHT: 6:15-8:00 - THESE MERMAID SOLOISTS ONLY- Ariel, Sebastian, Flounder, Scuttle, Flotsam, Jetsam, Ursula, Vanessa, Vicar, all sisters, Max, Carlotta COMING UP: MONDAY, DECEMBER 5- Disney Parade Team 6:30-7:30 WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 7 - Dream Team - 6-6:30 and MORE: This Saturday we have over 25 performers in our studio Nutcracker show. The event is all free including refreshments, but a ticket is needed. The 11:00 show is sold out, so plan to come at noon and stay for the 1:00 show. The performance is about 45 minutes. and still MORE: GOING TO DISNEYLAND NEXT SATURDAY, the 11th? Come check our Disney Team who have been rehearsing for weeks to perform in the Merry Holiday Parade with dancers from all over the world! Yes, world! Finally; Our Holiday Open House Fundraiser will be held on Saturday, December 17th at 4:00. The following classes will be performing a short, informal holiday piece. PARTICIPATION IS COMPLETELY OPTIONAL AND DANCERS WILL BE LEARNING CHOREOGRAPHY IN CLASS. We ask for a donation of $3.00 per person and $10 max per family with light refreshments available as a donation based, In addition we will have raffles and prizes to give away. Dancers need not attend to enter the raffles. The show is about 25 minutes and dancers can wear any holiday attire. Please note- there will be no permission slips sent home, dancers if you are participating, just show up at 3:00 for a 4:00 show. This is in-formal, festive and fun! We will re-open on Monday for all of our classes. ****Tuesday, November 29 - I will have a brush up Disney Parade rehearsal from 5:30-6:00- anyone on the team is welcome. Also on Tuesday the 29 - Nutcracker dress rehearsal 7:30-8:30 for all participants, and Secret Santa exchange will take place. $5.00 or less. Dancers, bring an outfit for the party scene if you are in it. Miss Rebecca and I have the other costumes. Wear a bun and your cami leotards. ********Wednesday December: 6:30-8:00, THESE DANCERS ONLY FOR MERMAID REHEARSAL: SISTERS/URSULA/VANESSA/TRITON/FLOUNDER/SCUTTLE/FLOTSAM AND JETSAM/MAX/CARLOTTA *****FRIDAY, December 2- Nutcracker Dress rehearsal entire cast 4:30-8:00. Dinner break at 6 - bring food and be prepared to be finished around 7:45..... *****And finally our FREE, yes, FREE, in studio Nutcracker performances will take place on December 3 with 2 shows at 11 and 1:00. COMING UP: OUR IN STUDIO HOLIDAY FUNDRAISER and OPEN HOUSE TAKING PLACE ON SATURDAY, DECEMBER 17 at 4:00. These classes are working on a holiday performance to present at the event. Participation is optional and dancers just need to come to the studio on the day of the show, dressed comfortably in holiday attire.
