Wednesday What's-Up

Happy Holidays Dancers and Families:
Just a few announcements this week and information on our Holiday Open House.
**** First of all, I wanted to say congratulations to all of our Dance the Magic Team Performers, and to Miss Karie and Miss Jordyn for their time and talent coaching the dancers. They performed on Main Street USA in Disneyland this past Saturday, with dancers from Australia, Canada, Arizona, New Orleans and the San Francisco area just to name a few of the areas the dance studios came from.  Also, a thank you to all the parents, friends and family members who came out to support them, not to mention the parents and dancers who braved the rain to get into Pixar Pier at California Adventure to ride rides and have breakfast.  It was wet to say the least but exciting to have the park to ourselves and to run around with all our fellow dancers.  Please continue to share your pictures with as I am still posting them to share. 
*** More:  This Saturday is our annual Open House/Fundraiser starting at 4:00, to conclude around 5:00. Dancers if you are performing, please arrive between 3 and 3:30.  REMEMBER THIS IS TOTALLY OPTIONAL!  DANCERS DO NOT HAVE TO PERFORM IF THEY ARE IN A CLASS THAT IS DANCING.  ATTENDANCE IS NOT TAKEN AND YOU DO NOT NEED A PERMISSION SLIP.  If your class is dancing and you do not want to perform we hope you will come and join your friends for snacks and entertainment.  The afternoon is the Dance Works version of an office holiday party and we would love to see everyone from from our studio family join us even if only for a short time. The performance lasts about 25 minutes, is super relaxed and you are free to move about the studio.  For dancers who are participating, kindly wear any holiday attire that you can move comfortably and safely in and wear appropriate footwear.  We are asking for a donation of $3.00 per person or $10.00 per family, and snacks are available for purchase.  Come enter our raffles for a dream duffel, movie night with movie tickets, spa basket, jelly bean package and other items with winners announced on Sunday.  Proceeds are going to go toward a studio heat lamp for the big room.

MORE:  ATTENTION WINTER RECITAL SOLOISTS AND BALLET PERFORMERS.  THE SHOW CAST LIST IS ATTACHED TO THIS MESSAGE.  PLEASE CHECK YOUR DANCERS NAME is correctly spelled and in the right class, I make mistakes that are not intentional.  I will be going to print over the break.  Also, don't forget to get your tickets before prices go up at the door. Seats are assigned.

WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 25 - 5-6:30 - ALL BALLET SOLOISTS PICK UP REHEARSAL from the audition.
FINALLY: DON'T FORGET WE ARE CLOSED NEXT WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 21 through TUESDAY, JANUARY 3.  WE WILL REOPEN FOR ALL CLASSES ON WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 3rd.
I think that is all for this week.  On a side note, I am traveling next week to Maryland to visit my family.  If you need anything just let me know as I check email, but my response time may be a little slow due to the time change.  If you and your families are traveling too have a safe trip and dancers don't forget to bubble wrap!
